A clutch kick is one of the most useful tools in drifting.
When you quickly press the clutch in and release it while applying throttle, you shock the drivetrain and send a burst of torque to the rear wheels. That sudden hit of power helps break traction or add angle mid-drift.
It’s not about holding the clutch down. It’s a quick in-and-out motion.
Clutch kicks are useful for initiating at lower speeds, adjusting angle mid-corner, or saving a drift that’s starting to straighten out.
But timing matters. Too aggressive, and the car can over-rotate. Too soft, and nothing happens.
When used correctly, it gives you control without needing more speed.
