Most drift competitions are judged on three main categories: line, angle, and style.

Line refers to hitting clipping points, outside zones, and maintaining proper track placement with little to no adjustments. Once you have your car set in the corner, you don’t do or change anything, THAT is how you know you line is perfect.

Angle measures how much rotation the car carries through the corner and how consistently it’s maintained. It jut as simple as it sounds, this (insert clip of poor angle) is obvisiously not as good as this (insert clip of good angle). That is how angle is judged.

Style includes commitment, fluidity, speed, and overall execution. This is the icing on the cake. If you can have line, angle, AND style? That is what we consider a 100 point run.

Big angle alone doesn’t guarantee points. Speed without control doesn’t either.

Judges are looking for a balanced run that combines precision and commitment.

Understanding this criteria helps you drive strategically instead of just aggressively.
